My campaign is committed to protecting our drinking water.

72% percent of Long Island water suppliers identified levels of 1,4-Dioxane exceeding the EPA Cancer Risk Guideline, including both the Smithtown and St. James water supplies.

September 13 the EPA rolled back a major clean water regulation.  This measure, known as the Waters of the United States rule, was intended to prevent polluters from discharging potentially harmful substances into streams and wetlands.  This rule protected drinking water for about 1/3 of the U.S.
